Distinctions between concepts
This site distinguishes between ACH authorization, ACH debit, card receivables, processor hold, processor reserve, UCC filing, security interest, personal guaranty, judgment, levy, garnishment, court order, and processor termination. These are not interchangeable. A UCC filing is not a judgment and does not by itself freeze a bank account. ACH authorization is not ownership or control of a bank account. Switching processors does not eliminate an existing contractual or legal obligation.
